What should I wear? Please wear clothing which you can move well in such as tracksuit bottoms or leggings and a loose t-shirt. The community center is lovely and warm so there is no need to worry about too many layers.
-
I have back pain and some other health problems, is it safe for me to do Pilates? You will fill out an online registration form before starting which will give you a chance to explain any back pain or other health problems you may have which might limit what you can or cannot do. Your class teacher will then be aware and be able to adjust any exercises which may not be suitable for you.
-
How big are the classes? The class will have a maximum of 12 participants. Small classes mean the instructor can come around and make sure you are doing the exercises correctly so you get the maximum benefit from them.
-
How much do classes cost? The one hour classes cost £9.50 per class usually payable in a block of 6 - 8 weeks. The 45 minute classes cost £8.00 per class again payable in a block.
-
How do I pay?You can book your place online and pay by credit card, apple pay or google pay.
-
Is there a pay as you go option? You will get the most benefit from Pilates when the exercises are done consistently, so there is no pay as you go option and classes are booked in blocks.
-
The class times don't suit me, is it ok to go straight to the online classes?Generally yes. If you have no specific health issues then absolutely go ahead! For general joint and back pain, Pilates is very safe and very beneficial. However if you have any specific back issues such as disc problems, spondylosis, spondylolisthesis or other inflammatory conditions it is best to be seen by a physiotherapist first.
